Hello again, I've just been watching the Moto GP race at Le Mans, amazing race; Jorges Lorenzo won in fantactic style; Marco Mellandri who was without a bike at Christmas last year took 2nd; and riding like a rocket Danny Pedrosa took 3rd in the final lap. Which is why I didn't get back to my blog this morning as i said I would.
Actually I have also been typing up some of my raw recipes which I will send out to anyone who would like to have a go at making some of the most delicious and nutritious foods anywhere. They are Tomato Curry; Spinach Cooling Nutty Curry; Sweet Creamy Super Blaster; Spinach Garam Masala Salad; Fresh Pea Salad and my all time favourite Avocado Kale Salad as inspired by Chad Sarno.
So back to my Turkish trip. I have been staying at an Eco Centre called Yuva which is on the coast along from Olu Deniz, but a long way along windy hair pin bend cliff roads. I was really pleased that it had been dark when I had arrived in the rain the first night, because I would have been pretty scarey in the wet. As it was the mini bus drivers obviously drove the roads all the time they felt safe enough.
If you look at the top right hand corner of the photo you will see a little lump on the end of the promentory that is where the eco centre is and the road follows the coast line. You can see how high up the road is, really exhilarating.
The chalets were clean and rustic with verandas overlooking the torquoise coast and the trees.
As you can see our veranda had a day bed on it which proved to be really popular with all the other guests which was great. I shared a room with a great woman called Susan. We got on fabulously and I know that we will travel together in the future, we have so much in common, in particular the way that we view the world
Every morning there were two sessions of Kundalini Yoga, the first one started at 6.30am which in British time was actually 4.30am. Needless to say I never made that one though i am aware that quite a few did, particularly Danya and Elaine who were in a chalet underneath the yoga platform.
I recon that the yoga platform must have one of the best views of any platform, what do you think?
Pretty amazing yes?
I thought that you might like to see what my room mate looked like so this is Susan standing in front of our chalet which has washing hanging on the line in front of it.
In the background you can see the top of one of the amazing mountains that surounded us there. Oh I forgot to metion that I had gone on my own to a Raw Food Retreat which was organised by Suz Evasdaughter.
Suz had informed us that there were a bunch of us travelling together from Gatwick and so we had been emailing each other arranging rendezvousing prior to our arrival in Turkey. I had arrived about 2 hours earlier that the meet up time and so I had already gone through to the departure lounge and didn't meet up with them till we were about to board the plane.
That had no effect on the bonding which took place between all of us on the holiday, which was truly incredible. It didn't matter who I ended up sitting next to because everyone was wonderful to talk with. There was; Susan who I have already mentioned; Danya and Elaine who had flown in from Manchester, they were such fun to be with and made me laugh all the time; Danya is the one in the pink top.
I think they look so lovely in these two photos and such good friends.
I am going off now to make myself and Avocado Kale Salad as having typed up the recipe earlier all I can think about is eating it. However having cravings for such highly nutritious foods is brilliant.
Till next time, love and light
