It is amazing how quickly the delights of a holiday fade when you return to work and discovere that the week away has piled up into 2 weeks extra work. I don't know how it manages to do that however I am determined to record the experience so that all of my friends can share in it.
As you can see from the early photos of the trip the sea was far too rough and cold to attempt to go swimming from the rocks at the eco centre so I went on the trip arranged to Olu Deniz, which appeared to be a sandy beach on the other side of the bay.
As you can see though from the distance you couldn't see the pebbles and the steep slope into the water which was just as cold as it was at the eco centre so I dipped my toes in and sat on the beach. You can see Susan and Layo who have tipped toed down to the water with the lilo that Susan had just bought. The plan was that Layo would lie on it on the water with Susan helping. It was so funny to watch that I didn't take any photos of the actual entry into the water because as layo launched herself onto the lilo on the water the waves completely turned her over and dumped her straight into the freezing sea.
Layo and I then went for a walk down to the lagoon, which was further than we thought and so when we got there we walked back again and went for an freshley squeezed Orange juice at the Buzz Bar
See how blissed out Layo looks rrelaxing on the comfy seating. We then went shopping and she bought three lovely floaty dresses and I bought two Amber necklaces.
As we left Olu Deniz I sat by the window of the mini bus and photographed the journey home as we got higher and higher up the mountainous roads.
This is looking back towards the beach with the mountains in the background, that odd reflection on the right hand side of the picture must be reflections from the window.
I love the reflection of the sun on the sea in this picture.
This is pretty high up still looking back across the bay towards the islands
And this one is looking the opposite direction towards the eco centre, which is on the promentory at the top .
On Sunday I will take you to Fetiye I know that isn't how you spell it but I have to get into town now so will look it up later.
