I have been running classes for complete raw food novices for some time and recently I decided to create a programme that would lead a complete beginner through a really easy to replicate series of recipes that would provide a solid base for transforming health levels.
It is going really well, currently there are 5 women who meet every week for a couple of hours in the evening. One week they will have hands on food preparation where they get to sample everything they make and take some home with them to share, the following week they watch a film.
The first week we made nut milks and cheeses and they went away to try a fortnight without dairy to see how that made them feel. There were some really positive results.
Week two was a film "Raw for Life", the film evenings are a small informal gathering were we have herbal teas and green smoothies and super healthy nibbles .
Week three they learned just how incredibly simple it is to make tasty and healthy pates, they made walnut pate, pumpkin seed pate, intense Italian and the all time favourite carrot and dill.
With all of the tastings and talking we went way over time so I am going to have to rethink certain aspects of the class to make sure we don't over run because from March 21st I will be running an intermediate class immediately after the beginners .
I'm really delighted at how easy my class are finding the recipes because if they find it easy they are much more likely to try it out at home.
