Hi again
I just had the next installment. I've had another intuition about how we are all being disempowered in so many different ways and this is the next one. It follows on from the first of the useful tools. I've found ways of holding on to my power and boosting it and it is my aim to help you to do that too.
Let me explain; particularly to all of you who have experienced the "munchies", you know that irresistable urge to eat after you have been indulging in our most commonly used "illegal" substances? It is one of the consequences of the life styles that most of us have adopted in the western world. Our disempowerment begins when we start the search for what to eat and with the kind of junk that we reach for mostly because that is what we've always reached for and/or that is all that is available.
Think about it; what do you reach for when you get an attack of the munchies? Generally things that are full of sugar and wheat and fat. Now I doubt that there are many of you who don't know that eating too much of those things can make you ill and they are some of what is making the nation fat.
When you realise that the side affects of those foods are lethargy, bloating, respitory problems, sugar highs followed by sugar lows and fluctuating mood swings, then it is hardly suprising how many people fall asleep after they have been smoking. They miss out on the amazing release of the ceativity and connectiveness to the source that can spontaneously errupt shortly after the munchies set in.
How good would it be if instead you could, with a little palnning, give yourself access to really healthy, mind blowingly tasty, really incredibly simple throw together in your own kitchen in minutes goodies?
You could have a surge of energy levels and a corresponding surge in creative inspirations. You could find yourself with the urge to write or draw or make music or dance and laugh
Eating what we have always eaten when we have had an attack of the munchies leads to a nation full of ideas but nobody with any energy to pursue them.
When an attack of the munchies kicks in it is the sign that the creative surge is about to burst through but instead of feeding that surge with the nutrients it needs to flourish you have habitually reached for foods that are guarenteed to sap your energy and prevent you from discovering what you are really capable of. Instead you end up talking gibberish and falling asleep.
When you get an attack of the munchies imagine how amazing it would be to be able to snack on stuff that tastes great and will give your energy levels such a boost it will stimulate the spontaneous emergence of innate human creativity and you'll be awake and alert enough to benefit from it.
This is a great idea for a super healthy decedant bowl full of energy that is really really easy to throw together in about 5 minutes.
Chocolate Seed Treat with Spicy Almond Mylk
Ingredients; Seed Treat; sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, hulled hemp seeds, cashew nuts, goji berries, two desert spoons of raw cacao powder, 1 desert spoon of agave nectar.(You can get most of this from any wholefood shop).
Almond Mylk; 1 cup Almonds, 1/2 cup pecans, 2 medjool dates, teaspoon cinammon, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 3 to 4 cups of filtered water
Method; prepare the nut mylk in advance by grinding all the ingredients together in a high powered blender. If you haven't got anything like that you could grind the nuts through a coffee grinder first that would make them small enough for any blender to work with. You can tell when all the nuts have broken down when the clattering noises stop coming from the blender. You will then need a nut bag, which is a muslin or fine mesh bag and a large mouthed jug, pour the nut mylk into the bag and gradually squeeze it through the mesh of the bag into the jug until you've got most of the liquid out. This will keep in the fridge in a sealed container for 3 to 4 days and tastes fabulous.
Mix all of the Seed Treat together in a bowl and add enough of the Almond Mylk to make chocolate mylk and leave to stand for about 20 minutes to let everything soften up a bit. If you need the treat immediately there is nothing to stop you taking a spoonful straight away.
One thing to really keep in mind when you are eating this is that your stomach doesn't have teeth so for your body to get any of the nutrients out of the seeds you need to chew every mouthful until it is completely fluid before you swallow.
If you could also get you act together enough to remember to soak the sunflower and pumpkin seeds for 3-4 hours and the cashew nuts and goji berries for an hour before you are likely to want to use them then you will increase their nutritional availability to you by quite a lot.
That should be really easy to get together and the ingredients are easy to find and last well in a fridge.
Why don't you give it a go and see how different you feel with living nutrients inside you instead of the junk you usually put in there. Let me know what creative inspiratons bubble up for you.
Till next time
Love and light x
